EN 71 Toy Safety (UKCA)

We take it seriously

Toy safety is an extremely important business and something that we were determined to get right from the very beginning.

It's a legal requirement that unfortunately not all vendors are aware of or adhere to.

All toys that we sell both on our website and in person have undergone testing to all 3 parts of EN71 as required by the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011 and therefore bear the UKCA mark.

What this means

This mark signifies that we have tested and ensured that our toys conform to a wide variety of safety requirements including mechanical, flammability and chemical testing, where applicable.

In order to do this we, as the manufacturer use a combination of self testing and lab results to produce a technical file of evidence for each toy that we sell which is available upon request. This is a time consuming and often expensive process, especially when it comes to having materials lab tested for chemical safety but is a responsibility that we take very seriously.

Not for under 3's

Due to the nature of 3D printing and the possibility of small parts being present either as a part of a toy's design or in the event that it breaks, none of our toys are suitable for under 3's.

Identifying Toys and Non-Toy items on our Store

Not everything we sell is a toy, non-toy items are not subject to these rules and are therefore not proven to be compliant.

To make this as clear as possible, we will either show the UKCA logo and accompanied no under 3's warning on a product page to indicate that the product is a toy or a "Not a toy" statement to indicate otherwise.
